As an Algarve artist, this oil painting is my expression of light and shadow in conversation. The full moon illuminates the background, casting parts of the scene into mystery and creating mystical elements of wonder. Delicate shades of yellow flowers shimmer with touches of gold leaf, their surfaces glistening like reflections drawn from the moon itself.

The eye is guided first by this dancing array of yellow blooms, leading inward toward a luminous circle of moonlight. The perspective invites the viewer to look upward, drawn through shadow and light as if listening to a secret whispered by the night. Loose, wave-like brushstrokes bring a sense of movement, while soft, translucent layers create an ethereal, almost bewitching presence.

Peach tones rise like echoes of a fading sun, reflected upon the shadowed foliage. They seem to dance across the surface, imitating light’s last embrace before surrendering fully to the moon.
