This piece is an abstract representation of the Birds of Paradise flower, a one-of-a-kind bloom native to my place of origin. This extraordinary flower, pollinated by birds, fully opens to resemble wings in flight- an image that has fascinated me. As an Algarve artist, I felt a deep connection to its symbolism, guiding my own path of spiritual growth and self-realization. To me, this flower resonates with themes of transformation, inner peace and connection to the Devine. I used a blend of abstract brushstrokes in vibrant blues, oranges and whites allowing the colours to flow smoothly and create a dynamic, almost ethereal portrayal of the flower. The movement and energy in my brushwork reflect the exotic and striking nature of the Strelitzia, capturing its essence beyond mere representation.

As an artist painting Algarve Landscapes and inspirations, I strive to infuse my work with the spirit of the natural world. I signed and dated this piece upon its completion in 2019, marking it as an Algarve original art creation.
