This is one of my favorite pieces. As an Algarve artist, I created this vibrant painting to capture the striking beauty of deep pink and purple bougainvilleas, with a strong emphasis on the contrast between light and dark. The background features a soft bokeh of lights, adding a dreamy, almost ethereal atmosphere to the composition.

I focused on the interplay of light and shadow to give the flowers a dynamic, velvety texture. By layering a variety of pink and purple hues, I was able to create depth and movement within the piece. My painting style leans toward impressionism, allowing color and light to take center stage rather than precise botanical detail.
